Letter Slots and Mailboxes

Almost like it used to be...

One function, two concepts. If the postman didn't walk through the entrance door, which was always open, into the kitchen to drop off the mail anyway, he usually used to push it through the Letter Plates where it hit the floor with a characteristic noise. Those who didn't want to bend down, or where the structural conditions dictated it, also used to install a mailbox.

Even if electronic inboxes tend to dominate nowadays, a house without a Letter Plates in the door or without a mailbox is still unthinkable. And it may even have a traditional design again.
