Every house has to have a house number. For many decades, this has traditionally been the enamel house number in this country. Our enamel signs are still manufactured in a small enamelling plant in the Black Forest.
There are still many reasons to choose enamel, a unique composite material made of metal and fired glass.
- Enamel colours do not fade. They are absolutely lightfast. Blue does not turn grey, red remains red and white does not yellow. The colour brilliance of enamelled signs is permanently retained.
- The enamelled surface is as hard as glass and very hard-wearing. The firing process at around 800 degrees Celsius creates an adhesive composite material. There is no rust infiltration.
- Enamelled surfaces are unusually scratch and impact resistant. The glass-like surface is chemically resistant and can be easily cleaned even from dried paint, felt-tip pens or grease pencils.

Shield shapes
The house number plates are domed, i.e. slightly curved. This gives the signs a much more three-dimensional effect. The house numbers are available in several sizes (see designs) Font type
The numbers on the house number plates are stencilled, i.e. slightly raised. The font type of the numbers is a curved serif font.
The street name is applied using offset printing and is slightly paler than the number. A block font is used here as standard. The lettering can also be applied in English cursive script for an additional charge (see designs).Designs
Our house numbers are designed with a surrounding edge as shown as standard. However, they can also be produced without an edge on request.The signs can also be produced as a special design in any desired colour combination and in the colour (RAL) of your choice. Please note that the RAL colour shade can only be approximated in the case of fire protection products.

Cleaning
The glass-smooth enamelled surface has antistatic properties and has a self-cleaning effect. Rain keeps enamelled signs "naturally" clean. What the rain does not wash off, a damp cloth can easily do. Mounting instructions
When screwing on the signs, make sure to design the last few turns by hand rather than using a cordless screwdriver so as not to accidentally damage the enamelled surface.
