- These latches are so-called locking latches. In contrast to locking bolts, which are usually used to lock gates or doors horizontally, these bolts are used to hold the upright leaf of multi-leaf doors in place. They are fitted vertically at the top and bottom of the door frieze of the up-and-over sash so that it can be opened when required.

Lengths
As double doors are often higher than normal room doors, the doorbolts are available in different lengths. The short design towards the floor is usually sufficient, while a longer bolt should be selected towards the lintel, depending on the door height, so that the door leaf can still be unlocked easily. Shape and use
Multi-leaf glass doors and flat end doors, as can often still be found in houses from the turn of the last century, were usually fitted with these lightly decorated top bolts. Although there were and still are edge bolts that were not visibly recessed into the side of the door leaf, the top bolts still have their place as a design element.Material and surfaces
The hold-open bolts are made of wrought iron and coated with a single layer of stove enamel. This is largely impact- and scratch-resistant and therefore corrosion-resistant. They can also be supplied in raw iron on request. We offer the bolts in the following 4 standard finishes:- black stove-enamelled

Care and maintenance
The bolts are finished with a hard lacquer. This means that no special care is required. For occasional cleaning, you should only use a soft, damp cloth and no cleaning agents containing solvents. If the bolts become difficult to move over time, a small drop of the common magic product 'Balistol' usually helps. You can also obtain this from us.
