Bakelite switches and sockets for areas where IP44 is required (THPG)

In order for electrical equipment to function properly in damp and wet environments, it must be protected against the ingress of water. There is an international classification of protection classes (International Protection, IP for short) for this purpose. For indoor areas where water and moisture are to be expected, protection class IP 44 is sometimes required.
To meet this requirement, we offer solid switches and sockets made of 2.5 mm thick Bakelite for traditional surface mounting - as robust and durable as ever. They are produced unchanged because they have been tried and tested for decades. Who doesn't recognise them from grandma's cellar?
The damp-proof Sockets have a hinged spring cover. They protect the socket from moisture ingress.
For standard-compliant installation on plaster, we offer a suitable textile-sheathed NHXMH cable that can be mounted on the wall with spacer clips.
