Cast Iron Columns - Cast Iron Decorative Elements for Steel columns

Capitals, ornamental rings and base elements as decorative elements of a plain tubular steel column

Decorative cast iron decorative elements - for a supporting tubular steel column

The cast iron decorative elements are replicas of original models from the historicism period. We have these reproduced in an iron foundry in Portugal according to our models.

In combination with a steel tube, the decorative ornamental elements look almost like a real old cast iron column. They are designed for mounting around a standardised steel pipe with a diameter of 101.6 mm. In contrast to historical cast iron columns, steel tubes are easy to calculate statically. The cast-iron elements themselves only serve as decorative cladding. The steel pipe is not included in the scope of delivery.

As the decorative elements still need to be drilled, welded or otherwise processed for mounting, we only supply them primed, but not galvanised. You can have the fully assembled columns galvanised by your locksmith in a galvanising shop at a later date. After mounting, the decorative elements can be painted with micaceous iron or a colour of your choice.

The result is striking in its effect: almost like a real old cast iron column!
