General product information
- Our sliding door shells, also known as handle shells or recessed handles, are reproductions based on original models. In the past, sliding doors were often installed as room dividers to the dining area and were part of the prestigious living area. Accordingly, the door fitting was not just a functional detail, but also stylistically designed.

Installation instructions
The sliding door shell is fitted precisely into the door leaf and mounted using only wood screws. Please note the required installation depth. We recommend that you only make the cut-out in your door once you have the sliding door shell. As this item is made by hand, slight dimensional deviations may occur. All installation work should be carried out by a specialist. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper mounting.
Care instructions
Brass is alive! We always deliver brass fittings unlacquered. The surface will darken slightly and become more irregular and vibrant in colour. The hardware develops its own patina and approaches the appearance of original historical hardware. If you wish, you can polish the sliding door shell from time to time. We recommend the polishing pad Nevr Dull® for this purpose. Nickel-plated surfaces are sensitive to acids. They should only be cleaned with a mild detergent and a soft cloth.
