Decorative, nostalgic cast iron radiators should not be adorned with modern radiator valves. Patinated or chrome-plated brass valves are the stylistically appropriate alternative.
The thermostatic valve has an integrated thermostat that automatically regulates the heat output. Despite its antiquated appearance, it functions in exactly the same way as a modern valve.
