Ceramic wall panelling
A panel is originally a board for wall and ceiling panelling. Cladding with panels is therefore also called panelling. Wall panelling used to be found mostly in castles and manor houses. They were intended to protect the walls in corridors and bathrooms, but were also a decorative element.Wall panelling was usually made of wood or natural stone. They were increasingly replaced by the development of tile production. With our ceramic panel tiles, this form of wall design is experiencing a renaissance again. Walls in bathrooms in particular can once again be designed with a special flair without having to forego the undisputed advantage of ceramic.

Laying instructions
When laying the tiles, we recommend using an elastic adhesive of class C2T in accordance with EN12004. The joints should be at least 2 mm wide. Use a high-quality ready-mixed mortar for grouting. We recommend choosing a grout colour that is as neutral as possible. In the case of highly pigmented grouts, pigments may be absorbed into the craquelure on tiles with a craquelure structure. The effect should be tested on a test tile before grouting. The tiles should be impregnated before grouting in order to prevent absorption. For a good end result, we recommend also impregnating the joints. All installation work must be carried out by a tiler who is familiar with the specific material properties. We accept no liability for improper processing.
Impregnation
Impregnation is only necessary for tiles with crackle glaze. It is recommended that these are impregnated before grouting, e.g. with FILA MP90.For this purpose, the tiles must be cleaned of dirt, grease and other impurities so that the impregnation can penetrate unhindered. Make sure that the tiles are completely dry before impregnation. Use a small, wide container for the impregnating agent. Make sure that the roller or brush is saturated with the impregnating agent. Apply the impregnating agent evenly to the surface of the tiles. It is important to apply the impregnation from top to bottom to prevent dripping. When working in this way, it is also easy to determine whether you have treated the entire surface or not. If necessary, it is easy to touch up. The application time is 10 minutes. Use an absorbent cloth to remove any excess residue from the tiles. Make sure that no residue remains!
