  • Ceramic wall panelling

    A panel is originally a board for wall and ceiling panelling. Cladding with panels is therefore also called panelling. Wall panelling used to be found mostly in castles and manor houses. They were intended to protect the walls in corridors and bathrooms, but were also a decorative element.

    Wall panelling was usually made of wood or natural stone. They were increasingly replaced by the development of tile production. With our ceramic panel tiles, this form of wall design is experiencing a renaissance again. Walls in bathrooms in particular can once again be designed with a special flair without having to forego the undisputed advantage of ceramic.

Specific product information
  • The vertically laid panel tiles in 20 x 80 cm format form the centrepiece of the wall panelling. The top finish is a matching colour border, possibly interrupted by a coloured relief border measuring 6.5 x 20 cm. Matching skirting tiles in 20 x 20 cm format provide the lower finish.

    The panel tiles are available as tiles with an opaque glaze (matt white or beige) and as tiles with a crackle texture (glossy white or glossy beige). The complementary border or skirting tiles are available in the same shades as well as in the additional colours light grey or caffe, the relief borders in the additional colours light grey, caffe, gentian or pine.

Mounting and care

  • Laying instructions for tiles

    When laying the unicoloured tiles, ensure a random cross-mix to achieve a lively and balanced appearance. To do this, remove the tiles alternately from all boxes when laying.

    Borders and ornamental strips in a tile panel should be laid with staggered joints so that the joint pattern is interrupted and the surface is divided horizontally. This allows ornaments, colours and glaze effects to really come into their own.

    All installation work must be carried out by a tiler who is familiar with the specific material properties. We accept no liability for improper workmanship.
