The beautiful handle - the Window handle

You hold it in your hand every day - usually without a second thought.

Whether customised in Sand Casting or mass-produced, the Window handle doesn't just have to be functional. They are also available in a variety of shapes - simple or richly decorated - and even opening and closing the window becomes a beautiful little moment in the day.

Window handles are technically known as window olives. These are available as so-called cross-shaped handles or as so-called half handles for larger window handles. Some window handles are also available as lockable versions.

Brass or iron window handles are available across all eras.
Brass and iron in various surface finishes are the materials that were used in Art Nouveau, Historicism and Art Deco.

For historic windows without internal gears, so-called bascule locks with surface-mounted push rods are available.
