Packaging and delivery

Tiles can only be transported safely with a forwarding agency. We would be pleased to provide you with an offer for delivery on your construction site. Transport cost depends on weight and distance. To prepare the offer we need to know the amount of tiles you plan to buy and your postcode. Shipping costs on request.

Tips for laying

Cross-mixing is necessary to receive a harmonious play of colours. Please take the tiles out of different boxes during laying, alternating between all boxes.

Border tiles should get installed with offset joints, thus the appearance of the joints is more lively and the surface gets structured horizontally. Colours and glaze-effects are fully displayed.

All tiling work must only be carried out by a qualified specialist. We cannot accept any liability for damages due to incorrect installation.

Impregnation/Sealing

Impregnation is only necessary for craquelé tiles. It is advisable to impregnate them before grouting, e.g. with FILA MP/90.

Before the impregnation process the tiles must be clean, so the impregnation can settle in unhindered. Please ensure that the tiles are absolutely dry. Use a small, wide container for the impregnation product. Please make sure that the roller or brush is completely soaked with the impregnation product. Apply the impregantion evenly on the tile surface. It is important to apply the impregnation from top to bottom, to avoid drip off. With this working method, it is easy to determine if you have treated the whole surface. If necessary you can make corrections. The residence time is 10 minutes. Use an absorbent cloth to remove excess product from the tiles. Please ascertain, that no residues remain on the surface!

Maintenance and care

For basic cleaning of glazed tiles we recommend a sponge or soft cloth and a neutral detergent (e.g. FILA Cleaner or MAPEI Keranet). Do not use steel-sponges or acidic cleaners as these may harm the glaze!
