Iron skylight ONNO 3 (DRP) - with round arch - 60 x 70 - vertical muntin division

Iron roof windows with their typical muntins belong to our historically grown roof landscape. For historic buildings, standard roof-top windows are usually not in the correct style.

Our iron windows have the authentic look of historic roof windows: with their slender metal profiles and their arc segment shape, they blend inconspicuously into old roofs. Vertical muntins structure the glass so it does not appear as a large black surface. The windows are made in old look, but with heat protection that meets todays standards and requirements. They are an authentic alternative for properties that are protected as a historic monument.

Material and surface

The roof windows are produced in accordance with today's thermal specifications and are easy to assemble::

• The glass pane is an argon-filled HR glass with a U value of 1.1 (total value deviating), spacer black.
• The window frame and profiles are made of 3 mm thick steel.
• The window sits on a thermally insulated inner box. This is a two-walled construction and thermally separated by insulating material (URSA XP) to prevent a thermal bridge.
• A 2-lipped, black EPDM profile is used for sealing.
• Hinges and bands are made of durable, corrosion-free stainless steel.
• The fixed mounting plate is made of 2 mm thick steel.
• The casememt stay for opening and closing the window consists of wrought iron.

Opening and closing

The window can be opened completely and manipulate with a casement stay. The 38 cm long wrought iron casement stay provides four locking options for different opening positions as well as a ventilation position.

Capabilities

Whether you have a gable roof, mansard roof or hipped roof - by means of the fixed mounting plate, also referred to as mounting frames, the windows can be used with all roofing materials such as pantiles or roofing tiles, shingles, slate or thatch. The minimum angle of inclination should be 27.5 °.

Interior design

In order to do full justice to these authentic roof windows and optimise incidence of light, we recommend making the inside finishing conical and taper it according to the shape auf the window.
