Double tumbler switch Series F37 - incl. cover frame - porcelain white / chrome-plated / wenge

Tumbler- and rotary switches are a relic of earlier times. However they are back in style, in a version for the now common flush mounting. With these switches, turning the light on becomes a concious act of switching the light on again - with an audible "click".

The modern, straightforward shapes make up the particular appeal of the F37 series. The combination of materials, simple wooden frames or decorated brass frames, literally frame the switches. The light switch thus becomes a concious design element.

The switches from our F37 series are produced by the traditional Spanish manufacturer FONTINI. We are the German distributor of their products.

Materials and surfaces

Baseplate

The baseplate on which the rotary knob or toggle is fitted, is made of white, brown or silver coloured thermoset. It is embedded in the frame and closes flush.

Toggles and rotary knobs

The toggles are made of brass - chrome plated, painted or patinated The rotary knobs are made of stainless steel or brass, painted or patinated.

Push buttons

The push button and dimmer is available either made of brushed stainless steel or made of brass, chrome plated, painted or patinated.

Cover frames

We offer different versions of cover frames

• Beechwood frames, stained in 3 different surface finishes "cherry" - "tobacco" -"wenge", available as single-, double-, triple- or fourfold frames
• Brass frames with 6 different surface finishes, available as single-, double-, triple- or fourfold frames

The distances of the multiple covers meet the standard intervals of 71 mm. They can easily be used in existing installations.

Variants - switches and pushbuttons

The switches are available with 3 diverse functionalities:

• Two way switch- if you want to control one light from 1 to 2 places
• Crossing switch - if you want to control one light from a third place
• Series circuit switch - if you want to turn on two lights with one switch (one after another)

We offer turn buttons and toggle switches in the same design. In this connection, the rotary knob goes back to the starting position after the rotational movement (spring-return button). The functionality is the same as with the pushbutton.

Buttons are generally used, when you want to operate from a minimum of 3 locations for example in staircases and long hallways. In contrast to the cross-connect this installation requires an impulse switch (relay), the wiring and the design of the switch is simpler. Instead of the latching relay, a staircase time switch (time relay) can be used.

Variants - sockets

For our F37 series we offer two variants of sockets:

German Schuko-sockets or sockets with centre contact for the french electrical system (F); both made of either white or brown thermoset.

Option- surface mounting

If you want to use switches and wooden frames for surface installation, we offer matt, nickel plated sockets for this purpose. Matching silver coloured tubes can be purchased at your local hardware stores or through your electrician.

VDE certification

All switches and sockets comply to the standards required in Germany. They meet the strict safety regulations of the VDE.

Delivery time

Usually we have small quantities of switches, sockets and frames in stock. Please consider a lead time of 3 weeks, if is not available.

We ship with DPD as insured package, delivery costs Germany 6,80 € (+ possibly island surcharge), EU shipping: 17 €, non EU-countries: shipping costs on request.

Mounting instructions

All insets are delivered on mounting plates and fit the commercially available, standard wall outlets.
