The light switch - it is in daily use and yet it finds little attention. He usually is seen only as a necessary and functional detail. With our " old " light switches, turning the light on can again become a conscious act. At the same time, these switches with their soft shapes are also used as a special design object for your living room. Whether rotary or toggle switch - this is ultimately a matter of your personal preference.
Covers, rotary knobs and push buttons are made of porcelain, a material that is unique with its radiance and its pleasant to touch, smooth surface. The porcelain pieces are from a plant in Thuringia, which has been producing electro-technical porcelain since 1913. The material porcelain has very good insulating properties and is of high stability. The porcelain type used is called C 110 and corresponds to the standard for material characteristics according to DIN VDE 0335 Part 3.
The insert of the porcelain power outlet and junction boxes is made of colour-coordinated thermoset. Thermoset is among the first industrially manufactured plastic. The material is characterized by its high thermomechanical strength. It is light-fast and does not go yellow over the years.
The rotary and toggle switches as well as the buttons have a solid ceramic body.
The over-center of the rotary switch consists of 42 items and is the result of mechanical precision work: regardless of the speed of the rotational movement, a uniform switch contact is ensured, which ends in a slight, familiar clacking - the switch mechanism, thus prevents the imminent arc effect that may impair the switching contacts in the long run, even with alternating current. To ensure safe shifting, the over-center is also treated galvanically.
All switches and sockets in this series are manufactured in Germany.
The rotary switches are available with 3 diverse functionalities:
Rocker switchs are generally used when you want to operate from a minimum of 3 locations. In contrast to the cross-connect this installation requires an impulse switch (relay), however the wiring and the design of the light switch is easier. Instead of the latching relay and a staircase time switch (time relay) can be used.
All switches, sockets and junction boxes can be ordered as a so-called inserts and you can order the desired cover separately. Thus, you can combine and arrange switches and frames freely.
Please note that you need seperate single covers with a larger inner diameter for junction boxes. The double frames are not intended for this use. However, you can use the junction boxes instead in the special outer frame of the system cover.
The distances of the multiple covers and system covers comply with the standard intervals of 71 mm. They can be used easily in existing installations.
All switches and sockets are tested by VDE and meet their strict safety regulations.
We usually have small quantities in stock. Please consider a lead time of 2-3 weeks for significant order quantities.
We ship with DPD as insured package, delivery costs Germany 6,80 € (+ possibly island surcharge), EU shipping: 17 €, non EU-countries: shipping costs on request.
All flush-mounted switch systems fit the commercial, standard wall outlets (e.g. from Kaiser). Please note that all installation work on electrical installations must be carried out by a qualified electrician. We cannot accept any liability for damages due to incorrect mounting.
The switches are resistant to extreme strain ( e.g. scratches ). They can easily be cleaned with domestic cleaning agents.
