The nostalgic looking tapware of our TAMAS series are manufactured according to German product standards and have a high-quality interior. They are only available with chrome finishing.

Manufacturing process

Our tapware is crafted in solid brass, which is moulded into individual components within the treatment process. After moulding, every component is ground by hand to achieve an even, slightly rough surface as base for the subsequent final coating.

Surface structure

The surface of this tapware is chrome-nickel plated in two layers for long-term protection against corrosion and wear. Subsequent polishing by hand results in a high-gloss, scintillating surface.

Lever design

The nostalgic star knobs of this tapware have a soft shape. The embedded lenses made of porcelain are labelled with the German words warm/kalt. If accidents happen, they can be easily replaced.

Technical interior

The tapware is equipped with a precisely regulated valve control: long-lasting ceramic shims with a hardness similar to diamonds and a smaller friction surface ensure unrivalled durability while reliably regulating the flow of water. All cartridges are easily replacable without special tools. The valves have been tested with a lifetime of 500,000 operating cycles. The tapware has been tested with regards to the following requirements: impermeability, mechanical and hydraulic process, mechanical wear characteristics, quality of the chrome finish, noise characteristics, dimensions.

The tapware can be completely dismantled into its individual parts, thus each component can be replaced.

We usually have small quantities of these items in stock. In case we do not have them in stock, please consider a lead time of approx. 14 days.

We ship with DPD as insured package, delivery costs Germany 6,80 € (+ possibly island surcharge), EU shipping: 17 €, non EU-countries: shipping costs on request.

Cleaning and care

Water contains chalk and other mineral constituents, which may settle on the tapware after the water evaporated. Residues of different articles of daily use like toth paste, toiletries and cosmetics as well as fruit and vegetable acids and wine can also affect the coating. Therefore please rinse the tapware with clear water after every use.

To maintain the high-quality surface of the tapware, we recommend to carefully clean it every day. Please do not use agressive and abrasive cleaning agents. Chlorine and bleach, acids, ammonia and soda corrode the surface and should not get used. Also avoid the use of abrasive cleaning devices, scouring powder and disinfectants.

Water and soap and a soft cloth are best for regular cleaning. Please be careful if you live in an area with very hard water! The alcaline constituents of soap may unite with the chalk in the water to form a so-called lime soap, that may settle as unpleasant dirt rims in the sink and on the tapware and are difficult to clean. In this case please use mild detergents that are suitable for use on tapware, e.g. the care product DECAL (from HORUS). It protects the tapware from mineral residues and can be used as needed.

Mounting

All accessories required for installation are part of the scope of delivery. Detailed instructions concerning installing are enclosed. Mounting must only be carried out by or under under the direction and supervision of a qualified specialist. We cannot accept any liability for damages due to incorrect mounting.
