Doorbell plate SIERRA wrought iron with grill

Doorbell plates made of iron are often used in rural areas, where they emphasize the fundamental character of the building. Our doorbell plates are modeled on historical patterns. They are rather simple in shape, so that the opposing two materials, iron and brass, can make a dent.

Manufacturing process and surface

The wrought-iron bell plates are manufactured in a small traditional working blacksmith shop in the Black Forest. They show the typical fine processing traces of hand-forged iron. After fabrication the doorbell plates are black galvanized and rubbed off. Therefore the special appeal of raw iron is maintained, yet the bells are still protected against corrosion.

All our wrought iron bell plates are also available with a rusted surface.

Available finishes

Bell contacts and name plare are available with the following finishes:

• Polished brass, non lacquered €€“ gold-coloured €€“ going to get darker, become more irregular and dull.
• brass, shiny nickel-plated €€“ shiny silver-coloured €€“ may get a little darker
• brass, satin nickel-plated €€“ dim silver-coloured - may get a little darker

Bell contacts

The bell contacts are 12 V screwed contacts and are wired with the connection cables.

Scope of delivery

Matching iron round-head-screws are included in the delivery.

NOT included is a flush-mounted box and electronic components. These must be purchased at your electrician. The doorbell plates can be combined with standard built-in door speakers (e.g. the TLE 061-0 from SIEDLE or identical products from other manufacturers).

Lead time

We usually have small quantities in stock. For larger orders we anticipate a lead time of 8 weeks.
