Manufactured tiles
Porcelain stoneware tiles have always been considered a noble and high-quality tile material. The ornamented tiles are still traditionally made to order today: The blank is created from fine clay granulate, which is pressed under high pressure. With the help of a filling template, the coloured granules are filled into the pressing tool by hand. The carrier granulate is then applied to this layer, the template is removed and pressed under high pressure to form a stable blank. The subsequent firing at very high temperatures creates the beautiful colours of these tiles.
Small differences from tile to tile are not considered a defect, but rather a sign of the quality of the handmade production process.

Product features
Porcelain stoneware tiles are a guarantee for durability over many decades -- they are abrasion-resistant and have a wear layer several millimetres thick,
- they are extremely robust and have a high mechanical resistance,
- they are resistant to acids and alkalis (excl. fluorine compounds),
- they have a minimum water absorption of less than 1% and are therefore frost-resistant,
- they have anti-slip properties - slip class R10
Suitability
Porcelain stoneware tiles are suitable for laying both indoors (kitchens - bathrooms - hallways) and outdoors where there is a risk of frost (terraces - paths - open spaces). Due to their special material properties, they are also often used in heavily frequented areas (guest rooms - entrances - passageways). Their good thermal conductivity also makes them suitable for underfloor heating. The tiles are also ideal as a decorative fire protection surface in front of the fireplace.Ceramic tempering
The manufactory tiles are provided with an easy-care ceramic surface coating as standard. The coating is permanently bonded to the ceramic body during the firing process. Tempered tiles have an elegant, silky matt sheen and a more intense colour effect. They can be laid without additional impregnation and are particularly easy to clean. On special request, the tiles can also be manufactured without tempering.

Notes on laying tiles with ceramic coating
For thin-bed installation, we recommend a hydraulically hardening, plastic-modified thin-bed mortar (flexible adhesive). A flexible joint grout should be used. Laying with joints that are as narrow as possible (2-3 mm) is desirable for ornamental tiles in order to achieve an attractive overall appearance. After grouting, the flooring must be carefully cleaned of any tile adhesive and grout residue, taking into account the curing times. Immediately after laying, these residues can usually be removed with a damp sponge. Before handing over the tile covering, final cleaning should generally be carried out with a cement residue remover (e.g. FILA Deterdek). The careful design of this final cleaning is of decisive importance for the subsequent cleaning properties of the tile covering. In order to avoid problems during the subsequent building inspection, the tiling must be protected from soiling by subsequent trades (e.g. painters) by taking suitable measures. Porcelain stoneware tiles with a ceramic surface do not require any further impregnation.
All tiling work must be carried out by a specialist. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper installation.
Cleaning
Neutral cleaners (e.g. FILA Cleaner) are suitable for maintenance care. Cleaning agents containing wax, regreasing agents or lubricating soap should not be used. These build up layers that bind the dirt and can make the tiling look less attractive.
