This light switch brings nostalgic flair into your home. This switch is used to switch on the light - just like at the beginning of the 19th century.
The body and the traditionally shaped rotary handle are made of snow-white, high-gloss porcelain. Dark patinated brass screws round off the retro design perfectly.
Ideal for the authentic renovation of old buildings or as a special detail in country house style. The light can be switched on and off with a small twist, accompanied by a gentle, audible clicking sound that is reminiscent of times gone by.

Surface mounting, as was common at the beginning of the last century, means the visible laying of cables, wires or pipes. These are laid directly or with spacer clips over plaster on the wall.
For a long time, surface-mounted installation was considered unsightly, even frowned upon, but sometimes unavoidable. Today, however, building technology no longer has to be hidden away. Used consciously, this switch system with its associated pipe system allows a new perspective on things and now helps to shape walls and rooms. Building technology can show itself again!

Material and manufacture
The GARBY / DIMBLER switch system is manufactured by the long-established Spanish manufacturer FONTINI, whose products we distribute in Germany.The body of the switches, sockets and junction boxes is made of porcelain. Porcelain has always been a popular material in electrical engineering: porcelain has a crystal-clear appearance, a pleasant feel and particularly good insulating properties.
The porcelain body has a small semi-circular opening at the bottom for cable entry. All switches, sockets and junction boxes are also available without a cable outlet if flush-mounted installation is required.
Safety and fire protection
All switches and sockets in this surface-mounted series comply with the standards required in Germany. They fulfil the strict safety regulations of the VDE.Important note: When mounting on flammable surfaces, the surface-mounted switches, sockets and junction boxes must be mounted on a fire protection plate in accordance with regulations. This is a plastic plate that is simply inserted at the back. This is not included in the scope of delivery.
Designs - switches and push-buttons
The surface-mounted switches are available in black or white porcelain, with different rotary knobs and also with decor. The rotary switches are available with 2 different functionalities:- Two-way switch - if you want to switch a light source from one or two positions
- Intermediate switch - if you want to switch a light source from a third position
Pushbuttons are generally used when operation is required from at least 3 positions. In contrast to intermediate switches, this installation requires a impulse switch (relay), but the wiring and design of the light switches is simpler. A staircase light timer (time relay) can also be used instead of the impulse relay.
Tubes and accessories
The surface-mounted conduits made of iron (painted matt rust colour) have a length of 3 metres. They can also be split on request. We offer the tubes in 3 different diameters: 16 / 22 / 25 mm. Other connecting accessories should be selected in the appropriate diameter.

Installation instructions
The interior is mounted on the base or the wooden base plate with 2 screws, wired, then the housing is slipped over it and screwed in place.We would like to point out that all installation work on electrical installations must be carried out by a specialist. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper mounting.
Maintenance
Porcelain is extremely impact and scratch-resistant and does not require any special care. A soft cloth is simply recommended for occasional cleaning.
