General product information
-
The cut stained glass corners, also known as frieze corners, are a colourful relic from the turn of the century. They are mainly used in doors and windows with muntin bars, where they create bright accents in the corners of the surrounding friezes. They are also often found in combination with blasted borders or muslin glass.
The stained glass corners are made from high-quality flashed glass, i.e. a carrier glass has been "overlaid" with coloured glass in one or more thin layers. The ornament is cut out of this coloured layer by hand and polished. It then appears transparent and lies recessed in the brightly coloured foreground. This creates fascinating colour and light effects.

Colours
The stained glass corners are all available in the classic colours red and blue as well as green or yellow. Glass sizes
The stained glass corners can be ordered in sizes from 10 x 10 cm to 14 x 14 cm (special sizes on request). They are made to order to the glass size you specify.Note: When specifying glass dimensions, please allow for a distance of 1-2 mm from the frame all round.
Glass-specific features
Due to the manufacturing process, the glass may have small irregularities and colour deviations: fluctuating glass thicknesses, small air inclusions or surface markings give the corners their characteristic charm. The ornament is sanded by hand. Small variations bear witness to the specific signature of our glass cutter.
