Socket BAKELIT black - Type F earthed socket outlet
Authentic Bakelite sockets: Timeless design for old and modern buildings
Bakelite sockets are ideal for authentic detail design in old buildings. They have been in use since the 1930s and are being produced again today. The striking, round shape is further emphasised by the raised border. A subtle sheen on the surface gives the deep black material a sophisticated look. Black sockets can also be used to create stylish accents in modern living spaces.
A Schuko socket outlet (earthed socket outlet) is the standard for socket outlets with earthing in Germany. It offers protection against electric shocks by reliably discharging electrical currents. The socket outlet has two round contacts for phase and neutral as well as two earthing contacts. The black Bakelite socket outlet is of course VDE-certified.
The matching cover frame is available both as a single frame and as a multiple frame. The multiple frames correspond to the standardised spacing of 71 mm. The socket outlet is traditionally equipped with screw contacts and fits into standard flush-mounted sockets. When using system cover frames, care should be taken to ensure that round flush-mounted boxes are used.

Bakelite
Bakelite is the trademark for one of the first early plastics from the beginning of the 20th century. Bakelite is characterised by its high strength, temperature resistance and insulating properties - an ideal material for electrotechnical applications. The raw material was pressed directly into moulds and hardened using pressure and heat. Bakelite was therefore no longer an option for the injection moulding process that later became widespread and was gradually replaced by other plastics. And yet: Bakelite has its very own aesthetics and feel - both visually and haptically. The light switch
The light switch - it is used every day and yet receives little attention. It is usually only seen as a necessary, functional detail. With these "old" light switches, you can make switching on a conscious daily activity again. The light switches with their soft shapes also serve as stylish design objects for the wall. Whether rotary switches or rocker switches - this is ultimately a question of personal preference.

Cover frame
All switches, sockets and junction boxes can be ordered as so-called inserts and the required cover frames can be ordered separately. This allows you to freely combine and arrange switches and boxes. Please note that separate individual frames are provided for dimmers and junction boxes.
The distances of the multiple covers and system covers correspond to the standard distances of 71 mm. They can be used with existing installations without any problems. For system covers, make sure that you use round flush-mounted boxes.
VDE certification
All switches and sockets are VDE tested and fulfil the strictest safety regulations.

Installation instructions
All flush-mounted switch systems naturally fit into commercially available, standardised flush-mounted boxes (e.g. from Kaiser).
We would like to point out that all installation work on electrical installations must be carried out by a specialist. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper mounting. Cleaning and care
The switches are resistant to heavy wear and tear (e.g. scratches). They are easy to clean with standard household cleaning agentsInstallation instructions for glass frames
The glass covers are supplied with templates made of white cardboard, which can be inserted directly underneath the glass covers for a perfect fit. The cardboard covers can be covered with wallpaper or painted in the desired wall colour. After any removal of the switches (e.g. for technical testing), they ensure that the original uniform appearance with the wall is maintained.
