rocker pushbutton PORZELLAN - without symbol - without outer cover frame

Porcelain rocker push-button for a push-button circuit with relay

A light push-button is not a light switch.
Although switches and push-buttons look similar, they differ in the way they work. A momentary-action switch returns to its initial position immediately after being pressed and only allows current to flow while it is pressed. It serves as a pulse generator for a relay, which is housed in the distribution box.

In domestic installations, push-button switching is often used when more than two points need to be controlled, for example in long corridors or stairwells. Compared to cross switching, it requires a current impulse switch (relay), but is less cable-intensive and less complex.

In contrast to modern, flat push-buttons, the rocker push-button from the porcelain series has a smaller rocker. This gives it a much more delicate appearance and yet it can be operated easily with just the touch of a finger.

The rocker push-button has traditional screw contacts and fits into standard flush-mounted boxes.
