Pull handle PORTALE - brass
Push handle for the historic entrance door
This solid pull handle or push handle in the Wilhelminian style is ideal for old entrance doors and large, heavy portals. The handle impresses with its solid design and the typical end decorations from the period of historicism around the turn of the century before last. The door handle is reproduced by hand using a sand-casting process based on our original design.
Made from unlacquered brass, it develops a natural patina over time, giving the front door in an old building an authentic and prestigious charm.
The handle can be mounted both horizontally and vertically and is the perfect addition to stylish historic buildings.

General product information

Pull handles, also known as push handles or swing door handles depending on their intended use, are not connected to the door lock, unlike door handles. They are simply screwed onto the door leaf.
Pull handles are usually found on swing doors or pivot doors that can be opened in both directions and swing through. The handle is both a functional and design element. On large, glazed doors, a handle bent in a quarter circle provides additional protection for the door.Pull handles can also be used for sliding doors that are guided in front of the wall. The guide rail should then have a stopper device to prevent the handle from hitting the frame.
Pull handles are often fitted horizontally on the centre frieze of old front doors. The handle serves as a pull or push handle if only a locking cylinder is inserted in the lock area.

Care instructions
Brass is alive! We always deliver brass fittings unlacquered. The surface will darken slightly and become more irregular and lively in colour. The fitting develops its own patina and approaches the appearance of original historical fittings. If you wish, you can polish it again from time to time. We recommend Nevr Dull® polishing pad for this purpose. Nickel-plated surfaces are sensitive to acids. They should only be cleaned with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Installation instructions
Mounting pull handles is not very complicated: They are simply screwed onto the door leaf. The matching fixing screws are included in the scope of delivery. All installation work should be carried out by a specialist. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper mounting.
