Distance Drill holes
The distance between the drill holes corresponds to the standard of 43 mm common in Germany and Europe.Spindle
The window handles usually have a loose spindle with a diameter of 7 mm and a standard length of +/- 35 mm. The spindle can easily be shortened with a hacksaw. If you require a longer spindle, this can be supplied made to measure (at an extra charge) in the desired length.Fixing screws
The window handles are usually supplied with metric M5 x 35 mm screws. If you require screws with a wood thread, please let us know.Lock cylinder
Our lockable window handles have a fully integrated lock. The historic and graceful shape is thus preserved and is not impaired by an attached lock case. However, the built-in lock cylinders do not comply with the DIN EN 1627 security standards, but only have a child safety function. When ordering several window handles, these can also be supplied with a keyed alike cylinder on request. Please specify this when ordering.
Note: The lock cylinder is always silver-coloured as shown, even with window handles in the brass design.
Design without latching
The window handles can be used for today's tilt and turn casement windows without any problems. However, they do not have a latching mechanism, i.e. they do not engage audibly or perceptibly at 90° or 180°. Using a window handle without latching is merely a matter of habit and not an absolute necessity.Fixing screws and spindle
The window handles are supplied with metric M5 x 35 mm screws and a loose 7 mm spindle. If you require screws with a wooden thread, please let us know.

Care instructions
Brass is alive! We always deliver brass fittings unlacquered. The surface will darken slightly and become more irregular and vibrant in colour. The hardware develops its own patina and approaches the appearance of original historical hardware. If you wish, you can polish the sliding door shell from time to time. We recommend the polishing pad Nevr Dull® for this purpose. Nickel-plated surfaces are sensitive to acids. They should only be cleaned with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Installation instructions
Mounting window handles or window handles is not very complicated: The olive is inserted into the square hole provided and the rose is mounted with the screws. If the spindle is too long, it can simply be shortened. The lock cylinder is fixed to the shaft with a small grub screw. If the lock cannot be turned, the grub screw must be fully tightened and then loosened again by 1/4 turn.
All installation work should be carried out by a specialist. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper mounting.
