General product information
-
Iron skylights with their typical glazing bar division are part of our historically evolved roof landscape. For historic buildings, standard roof windows are usually not very stylistically appropriate.
Our iron windows have the authentic appearance of historic roof windows: with their slim metal profiles and arched segment shape, they blend inconspicuously into old roofs. Vertical glazing bars divide the glass so that it does not appear as a large black surface. The windows are manufactured with an old look, but with the thermal insulation required today. They are a real alternative for listed buildings.

Possible applications
Whether gable roof, mansard roof or hip roof - the fixed mounting plate, also known as the flashing, means that the windows can be used with all roof materials such as roof tiles or roof tiles, shingles, slate or thatch. The minimum angle of inclination should be 27.5°. Materials and surfaces
The roof windows are produced in accordance with today's thermal engineering specifications and are easy to install:- The glass pane is an argon-filled HR glass with a U-value of 1.1 (total value deviates), black spacers.
- The window frame and profiles are made of 3 mm thick steel.
- The window sits on a thermally insulated inner box. This has a double-walled design and is thermally separated by insulating material (URSA XP) to prevent a thermal bridge.
- A 2-lip, black EPDM profile is used for sealing.
- Hinges and hinges are made of durable, corrosion-free stainless steel.
- The fixed mounting plate is made of 2 mm thick steel.
- The hold-open device for opening and closing the window is made of wrought iron.
Interior design
In order to maximise the amount of light coming in and to show the window to its best advantage on the inside, we recommend making the reveal on the inside conical and bevelled to match the shape of the window.
Opening and closing
The window can be opened fully and operated with a locking latch. The 38 cm long wrought iron hold-open bar provides 4 locking options for different opening positions as well as a ventilation position.
