Pendant lamp STUCCO

Pendant lamps are the classic models among lamps - they are especially fancied in entrance areas, in high hallways and guest rooms. They are not only a light source but also a furniture and are perceived as a particularly room characterising design element.

Style and design

This lamp combines the clean lines of modernism with the playful ornamentation of the time of the turn of the century in a special way. This lamp is not a reproduction, but a new creation, designed by Marcel Wanders (2007)

"In my previous house I had a fabulous antique-decorated plaster ceiling. I called it my Skygarden. It always looked good even without me having green fingers or taking care of it very well. It didn’t need water or sunlight but lived only on the warm rays of the electric light underneath it. I loved it so much that when time I moved house I couldn`t leave it. I had to find a way to take it to my new home. I took my tools and removed it from the ceiling. This fabulous piece of history is now secretly hidden in a minimalist architectural sphere in the heart of my new home where I can enjoy it with friends. Materials and surfaces

The inside of the dome is the centerpiece of this lamp. It is made of mechanically worked cast plaster, painted white. The exterior of the dome is made of painted liquid steel.

We offer the lamp in 3 different colour finishes:

• auburn- matt
• black- glossy
• white - glossy

The lamp is available in 2 different sizes:

• large modell - 90 cm diameter - 13,6 kg
• small modell - 60 cm diameter - 24,0 kg

The diffuser is made of double blown opal glass, the delicately chiselled glass cover is made of chromed aluminum. The lamp is quite heavy and is therefore supplied with a steel cable (350 cm length). The canopy is made of plastic and painted in the same colour as the corpus.

Light distribution

The lamp emits light downwards. It distributes a soft and glare-free light. The lamp is covered by the diffuser and the ornate metal grille. The stucco ornaments are illuminated and the inside of the light dome can be admired without any problems repeatedly even when the light is switched on.

Illuminants

The lamp has an E27 socket ans is suited for illuminants of energy efficiency classes A++ A+, A, B, C, D, E.

we recommend a 1x105 W halogen linolite for max 105 W. Illuminants are not part of the scope of delivery. The lamp is dimmable with an external phase alignment / phase control dimmer with matching performance data.

Lead time

The lamp is made to order. The lead time is aprox. 3-4 weeks.

Packaging and delivery

This item will be shipped by truck, delivery costs Germany 65 € (+ possibly island surcharge), EU countries and non EU-countries: shipping costs on request.

Please note that all installation work on electrical installations must be carried out by a qualified electrician. We cannot accept any liability for damages due to incorrect mounting.

As the lamp is painted, no special care is needed. For cleaning, use a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Please do not use abrasive sponges, as these can damage the coating.
