Industrial design from the 1950s - designed by Lucien Illy
This cantilever chair impresses with its eye-catching shape and construction: the large, spiral spring-like arches create a gentle swivelling and rocking movement. The seat appears to be suspended between them and swings freely in a pleasant way.
This armchair was produced until the 1970s by the Eyseric establishment in Nyons in the south of France. It is heavy, cannot be stacked and takes up a lot of space - not necessarily suitable for mass seating in a café, but extremely attractive as a stand-alone piece or as a special seating or reading corner, in a conservatory, waiting area or loft and also simply comfortable.

Materials and surfaces
The frame is made of brushed tubular iron (Ø 21 mm), which has been oiled to protect it from flash rust. Used outdoors, the cantilever chair will naturally start to rust soon, which can have its own charm. The slats and armrests are made of bent oak and are therefore weather-resistant. However, the wood will naturally begin to grey outdoors.
