Shape and mobility
This garden table impresses with its harmonious, oval shape and exceptional size. It is a comfortable place to dine even with a large number of guests. Its comparatively low weight makes it easy for two people to carry, Material and manufacture
We have this iron table made in a small forge according to an original pattern. The sweeping base frame is made of round iron, which is shaped and riveted using specially created bending devices. The sheet iron table top is placed on an oval iron ring and the edges are crimped by hand. Small irregularities in shape and finish are unavoidable and a sign of the handcrafted manufacturing process.Surface in as-delivered condition
The base frame and table top are galvanised after manufacture to protect them from rust. We deliver the table in a galvanised but unpainted state. You can paint it yourself with micaceous iron oxide or a colour of your choice. However, we recommend having the painting work carried out by a professional painter at your premises. The table top is screwed onto the base frame and can be easily removed for processing.
Mounting and care
- The iron table is galvanised and is further protected by its additional paint finish. Minor damage to the surface, which may occur with use over time, is certainly unavoidable. These give the table its unique and lively appearance. Sometimes rust film can also form on the riveted areas. In order to enjoy the table for a long time, we recommend storing it in a sheltered place during the winter.
