Brass surface or nickel-plating?

Most our doorknobs crafted out of brass can be bought with a untreated and lightly patinated surface or with a satin or shiny nickel-plated surface. The charge for the nickel-plating per doorknob is priced at:

• shiny nickel-plating: EUR 13,-
• satin nickel-plating: EUR 14,-

Surfaces and maintenance

Brass

Brass lives! We deliver door fittings untreated. Every door fittings develop their own patina over time. If you want to polish the fittings every once in a while, we suggest the polishing wadding Nevr Dull®.

Iron

For the maintenance of door fittings which are not zinc-plated and crafted out of cast iron or forged iron we recommend to treat the surface with a weapon oil, for example Balistol®.
